Cognitive Scenarios for Problem Solving in S/W Engineering

S/W Engineering is a cognitive activity of problem solving. It means that some cognitive features, valid in general problem solving, may be identified in such context. In particular, we propose a translation in S/W Engineering context of the cognitive definition of problem and of a set of cognitive strategies people adopt in problem solving. Therefore, we try to sketch which relevant cognitive scenarios (as we define them in this work) may be found in engineering contexts, and finally we try to underline how the representation of information may influence the way people face and solve engineering
